Unbelievable but true, Barry and I actually went somewhere, to a place no one has ever heard of, in the middle of Mexico. We went to celebrate Barry's nephew Peter's marriage to Lourdes and we stayed for six days.
We got lost a lot at first, but then realized you can't really get that lost. Guanajuato is made up of millions of little alleys "callejones" that all lead down the hills to the town center.
Everyday we saw the plaza dog, who knew everyone and clearly owned the place.
Peter, the groom, besides finding time to get married was also an incredible tour guide. He took us all to eat at a this tiny town, Santa Clara.
The kids were getting ready for a nativity play. They were pretty cute...
Here's the site of the wedding, the 1600's church of Valenciana, in a town above Guanajuato.
Lourdes with her dad...
Peter had the brilliant idea borrow a friend's giant truck to use for the getaway vehicle.
Guanajuato at night...
One of our last events was a baptism where Peter and Lourdes were godparents.
